Dewey Huang is a New York-based songwriter, producer, arranger, and guitarist working at the intersection of Contemporary R&B and Brazilian-influenced harmony. His work is rooted in musical restraint, groove, with a focus on shaping songs and performances that feel both sophisticated and immediate.

Dewey holds a Master of Music in Composition and Songwriting from NYU Steinhardt, where he studied privately with multi-platinum songwriter and producer Barry Eastmond(Diana Ross, Billy Ocean). He has received a Scholar Award from the Songwriting Hall of Fame and was named one of the 11 recipients of the 2024 Johnny Mercer Songwriting Intensive.

As a collaborator, Dewey works across songwriting, production, live arranging, and musical direction. He is especially drawn to ensemble-based work, helping artists develop stronger live sets, fuller arrangements, and more distinctive musical identities.

As a live arranger, Dewey has written over 100 scores for various scales of ensembles, including pop/jazz small band, string quartet, horn section, and full orchestra, covering a wide range of genres. His work has been presented at La MaMa ETC, Nublu, The Bitter End, Boston House of Blues, Green Room 42, and Ray Angry's Producer Mondays.
